Just finished playing around with the new Live Leak iPhone app. Its a collaboration between Touch Mobile Design and androidzteam.com. I didnt know what liveleak.com was before I got the app so I dont know how it stacks up to the web experience. But from what ive seen so far the iPhone app works great, videos loaded fast over 3g and Wifi. The quality was above average and the overall experience was smooth. I could not discern any difference in quality between 3g and Wifi, but the 3g connection in my area is always fast.
To me the part of the app that stood out the most was the homepage UI element. It takes a bunch of videos and lays them out as tiles with preview image and a small description for each. Its an effective screen to show the user upon startup because all the hot videos are one click away.
Other featurers include push notifications and a categories list for finding more videos.
The app is FREE right now so go get it before it becomes paid. Or just wait for the paid version since it wont have the ad banners.
